Jennifer Lindsley, proprietor of ACME GALLERY LTD., is an accomplished artist and art instructor from New Orleans, LA.  Jennifer became a professional artist at the age of twenty after receiving her degree from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts West in Los Angeles, CA.  Jennifer studied both domestically and abroad with a formal education in oil and watercolors.

Her education began with her scholarship studies in Europe where she explored France, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, and Holland.  Jennifer received an additional baccalaureate degree in design technology from the University of Northern Colarado in 1996.  Jennifer has private collectors and patrons in New York, Los Angeles, and Grand Cayman.  Her artwork varies in form and function, from large watercolor botanicals and illustrative acrylics to classical oil on canvas and “funkadelic” furniture – all very light-hearted and teasing.

Jennifer formally opened ACME GALLERY in June 2001 to create a new outlet for New Orleans artists and to showcase her own works.  In addition, Jennifer instructs both children and adults in mediums ranging from watercolors to papier-mâché at ACME GALLERY. Instruction is given in groups or by private tutorial.

Jennifer’s instructional philosophy is based upon the idea that there is an artist in everyone.  Her curriculum instills confidence in the emerging artist and gives a thorough explanation of both technique and style.

Jennifer has several years experience working with young children and high school students.   Jennifer works one on one or in groups with the knowledge that each student has a unique perspective and that developing a love for art can uncover it. 

Jennifer combines her theatrical background to add energy and enthusiasm to her teaching.  Music and group discussion set a dynamic rhythm that encourages students to interact and share their thoughts freely.  Jennifer’s curriculum is an excellent addition to school activities allowing students to experiment and learn outside the classroom.
